The Nike Sports Research Lab Form helps runners to improve their form with a personalised movement-analysis tool which is now available at their Oxford Circus store in London.
Founded back in the 1980s at the pinnacle of the evolution of trainer technology & the whole “sneaker race”, the Nike Sport Research Lab was simply introduced to help athletes become the very best at their sports. Utilising a range of scientists, engineers & developers, it was like the Swoosh’s very own Hawkins Lab, instead of researching telepathy it was all about how sole technology & the body’s movement intertwined into one. The Sports Research Lab now heads to Nike’s London flagship store at Oxford Circus for a game changing activation that shows us why the Swoosh is still the king of the sportswear game.
Using the very latest biometric technology, the Nike Sports Research Lab analyses your running form and suggests improvements for your form & performance. Users run for 2 minutes on a treadmill whilst motion capture technology collects over 150 data points across your body. A run analysis is then provided by one of the NSRL team, who provides information on your form, how your body moves, exercises to help you improve your run alongside Nike footwear recommendations. The analysis which uses six core running metrics: Slide, Roll, Cross, Bounce, Lean and Reach also aims to spot potential imbalances in your form & lessen the risk of potential injuries for runners. The Nike Sports Research Lab is now available at the Oxford Circus London store. You can book an appointment here for your free analysis here.
We’re empowering athletes through information to make decisions based on how they move… NSRL Form isn’t just a runner’s tool, it’s designed to study your whole body and give you the power to know yourself better as an athlete.
